Oak Class

Oak is a Year 4/5 class. Mr Smith and Miss Boston are the classroom teachers. The other classroom adults are Mrs James.

Home Learning for Wednesday and Thursday this week due to a red weather warning of extreme heat.

2) Please remember to read your AR book. 

3) Science Task - We are going to be learning about animals (including humans) Find out what you can about the human body or choose a group of animals that you are interested in. You might decide to create a poster or a PowerPoint.

4) Geography Task - Research and find some information about the highest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis. You can create a PowerPoint or Poster. 

Year 5 Homework

Year 5 are set a page of their maths workbook to complete each week.

A weekly spelling test will happen on a Friday. The spellings are set on Spelling Shed. Log in information should be in the back of your child's reading log. 

Year 4 Homework

Year 4 are asked to learn their times tables for their maths homework. This can be done using TT Rockstars or using alternative methods.

Times Table Songs Formal Written Methods

In Year 4 and 5, the children consolidate their learning the formal written methods for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division (column and bus stop). Today, Year 5 went to Oakwood Church to take part in workshops linked to Jesus and his life. We had a lovely time.
